As mentioned in a previous edition, Teambonders has had the distinct privilege of working with some wonderful organizations – both big and small. This month, we take our proverbial caps off and salute all companies that are socially responsible, give back to their communities and are philanthropic in nature. More specifically, we want to honour charitable foundations – not only here in North America – but worldwide. The tireless, generous or selfless efforts of board members, employees and volunteers alike are invaluable. The impact of their collective acts of kindness is immeasurable. Whether it’s assisting those who are in dire need, helping those who are less fortunate, or even lending a simple helping hand to those struggling with day to day life – the world is a much better place because of your willingness to help.
There’s a quote often associated with Mahatma Ghandi that goes something along the lines of: “Be the change or difference you wish to see in the world”. Regardless of whether or not the quote is 100% accurate…was ever even said by Ghandi…or is just a clever made-up bumper sticker, the message is still a valid and powerful one. A simple reminder that we all have the ability to make an impact in the world – no matter how large or small we may deem or think it to be. Every person can make a positive difference – they just have to be willing to act.
